What is this?
If you live in the USA, I strongly urge you to leave. Emigrate as soon as you can. The country is going to magically transform in to one of the most terrifying dystopian oligarchies thinkable. I guarantee it. Leave, turn in your passport. If you don’t live in the US, I strongly caution you to never go there, don’t invest there, don’t do business with them. It’s not a safe place with a civilized rule of law.

Why are for-profit US prisons subjecting detainees to forced labor?
In 2017, officials at the Stewart immigration detention center in Georgia placed Shoaib Ahmed, a 24-year-old immigrant from Bangladesh, in solitary confinement for encouraging fellow workers to stop working. Ahmed, who was paid 50 cents per hour to work within the facility, was upset because his $20 paycheck was delayed. His punishment was solitary confinement for 10 days, where he was subject to deplorable conditions – a cell with no access to other workers, only an hour of out of cell time per day and showers only three times per week. Detailing the impact that severe isolation has had on his mental health, Ahmed said: “I think the segregation will kill me.”
Nova Scotia filled its public Freedom of Information Archive with citizens’ private data, then arrested the teen who discovered it
So he wrote a one-line program to grab all the public records, planning on searching them once they were on his hard-drive. On Wednesday morning, 15 police officers raided his home, terrorizing his family (including his very young siblings — they scooped one of his younger brothers up as he was walking home from school, arresting him on the street) and seizing all the family’s electronics, including the phone and computer his father depends on for his livelihood. The young man now faces criminal charges and possible jail-time. The reason for the raid and the arrests? The government had unwisely uploaded private, confidential documents to its open directory of public open records, and so they are charging this teen with improperly accessing these confidential documents.
Undercover author finds Amazon warehouse workers in UK ‘peed in bottles’ over fears of being punished for taking a break
* An undercover author told The Sun that workers at an Amazon warehouse in the UK “peed in bottles” because they were scared walking to a bathroom would cause them to miss targets.
The author, James Bloodworth, found that staff members feared being disciplined for “idle time.”
* A separate survey of Amazon workers released Monday found that some workers who reported feeling sick – even through pregnancy – said they were penalized for not turning up or taking breaks.
* Amazon said it didn’t recognize the allegations as an accurate portrayal of its warehouse working conditions.
* The company disputed the survey findings and said it didn’t time toilet breaks.
DETAINED, THEN VIOLATED
A woman held at an immigration detention center in Washington state said she was raped by a medical worker and a private facility contractor as she sought help in the center’s medical unit. Another woman said officers cuffed and maced her following an argument with a fellow detainee at an immigration detention center in Florida. Then, as she lay on the ground, an officer sat on her “like a person would sit on a horse,” his “erect penis on her butt.” Officers then filmed her as she showered to wash off the mace, according to documents obtained by The Intercept.
When unemployment goes down, wages are supposed to go up. That’s just supply and demand. Quite puzzlingly, though, this mechanism seems not to be working today. Unemployment stands at a modest 4%, but paychecks aren’t growing. Although today’s is the best-educated workforce in history, employers just insist that workers need more training. In other words, they’re gaslighting us. Meanwhile, over decades, employers have built and maintained a massive collective political apparatus to hold down wages. To call it a conspiracy would be only slight embellishment.
How the Christian movie series God’s Not Dead fails to be Christian
Perhaps the most surprising moment in whiny and sniveling toned God’s Not Dead: A Light in the Darkness — the third installment in the wildly popular and commercially successful Christian movie franchise — comes when the beleaguered Pastor Dave (David A.R. White) goes to visit Pastor Roland (Gregory Alan Williams), the minister at the nearby predominantly black church, and Roland reads him the riot act. It’s a startling moment because it’s one of several in the movie in which it seems that the God’s Not Dead series might have become self-aware.
Texas Jail Guards Paralyzed Inmate in Violent Assault, Claimed He Was ‘Faking’: Lawsuit – When John Robertson, 41, asked his probation officer to admit him for drug rehab, he did not expect to leave the facility paralyzed from the waist down.
New Jersey cops search a man’s anus, genitals for weed during traffic stop. See for yourself.
A New Jersey man who was driving on Burlington Road in Southampton had a very personal run-in with New Jersey State Police officers who contend they smelled marijuana on his person, according to a report. In a dashcam video published by open government advocate John Paff, two State Police officers are seen ramming their hands down the pants of Jack Levine during a traffic stop.
